This family of Latil established in the city of Castellane, pulls its origin of that of Mées, and forms a branch of that of the Lords d' Entraigues and Villosc.
Claude de LATIL, Lord of Taloire. He was born in Les Mees. He settled down to Castellane (Alps of Hight Provence). He got married in 1603 to Jeanne de FORNIER (or FOURNIER), daughter of the Lords of the Bourguet. They had six children : Louise, Jean, Paul, Cassandre, Pierre and Honoré. He acquired the seigneury of Taloire, on October 4, 1603, to Gaspard de REMUSAT. He made out a will on August 29, 1623, at the notary NIEL in Castellane. He died on September 5, 1623, Castellane.
Louise de LATIL. Daughter of Claude and Jeanne de FORNIER. She was baptized on December 28, 1612, Castellane.
Jean de LATIL. Son of Claude and Jeanne de FORNIER. He was baptized on January 25, 1615, Castellane.
Paul de LATIL, Lord of Taloire. Son of Claude and Jeanne de FORNIER. He was baptized on February 18, 1618, Castellane. He got married on December 21, 1643 with Claire de TRIMOND, Les Mees, daughter of the Lords of Aiglun (notary TRABUC in Les Mees). They had two children : Honoré and Francoise. He honoured in 1660. He constitutes for his son Honoré the back-fief of Soleis in 1670.
Honoré de LATIL, Lord of Taloire and Soleis. Son of Paul and Claire de TRIMOND. He got married on April 16, 1670 with Thérèse de BOURELLY, daughter of the Lords of the Bourguet. They had a son: Claude. Lawyer in the yard. Lord of Soleils, in 1670, after dismemberment of the seigneury of Taloire. He died after 1712.
Claude de LATIL, Lord of Soleils and Villevieille Son of Honoré and Thérèse de BOURELLY. He got married on October 6, 1710, in La Palud, with Delphine de DEMANDOLS, daughter of the Lord of La Palud and Meyreste. They had three children : Françoise, Louis, and Elisabeth. In 1723, ther was a lawsuit quarrel and fight on the square of the village, between Francoise d'HENRIC, the wife of Antoine de LATIL, lord of Chasteuil, and Delphine de DEMANDOLS, his wife. He died before 1738.
Françoise Jeanne de LATIL, Daughter of Claude and Delphine de DEMANDOLS. She was baptized on April 28, 1712, Taloire. She got married on October 22, 1738, Montferrat, with the widower Jacques GIBOIN, middle-class person, co-lord of Roquebrune. ( Jacques GIBOIN, on 1682-1766, had got married in first marital unions on June 15, 1705, to Montferrat, with Thérèse d' HAUTEVILLE been born in 1695, died before 1738, daughter of Jean d' HAUTEVILLE and Isabeau LATIL) She died after 1778.
Louis de LATIL, Lord of Soleils. Son of Claude and Delphine de DEMANDOLS. Been born by 1723. He got married on November 3, 1753, in Comps, with Magdelaine Ange de QUIQUERAN of Villevieille (about. 1733-1774, Comps).
Elisabeth de LATIL, Daughter of Claude and Delphine de DEMANDOLS. She got married in 1763 with Jean-Joseph d' HENRY.
Francoise de LATIL. Daughter of Paul and Claire de TRIMOND. She was born in 1653. She got married on December 1, 1675, Les Mees, to Charles de GACHE, councillor, judge. She died on January 11, 1675, Les Mees, at the age of 22 yars.
Cassandre de LATIL, Daughter of Claude and Jeanne de FORNIER. She was baptized on July 17, 1618, Castellane. She got married in 1637 with Antoine PEIRON, in Castellane.
Pierre de LATIL, Son of Claude and Jeanne de FORNIER. He was baptized on June 30, 1619, Castellane.
Honoré de LATIL. Son of Claude and Jeanne de FORNIER. Been born by 1630 in Castellane. He got married on August 04, 1650 with Marie de SAQUI, been born in 1630. He made option on the seigneury of Sausses on March 28, 1679. They had a son: Gaspard.
Gaspard de LATIL Lord of Chasteuil. Son of Honore and Marie de SAQUI. He got married on October 11, 1684 with Elisabeth de PERIER. They had two children : Antoine and Honore. He acquired March 24, 1711, seigneury of Chasteuil.
Antoine Hyacinthe de LATIL, Lord of Chasteuil and Bourguet. Son of Gaspard and Elisabeth de PERIER. He was born on September 19, 1686 in Castellane. He got married on May 13, 1720, with Françoise d'HENRIC. They had six children : Henri, François, Elisabeth, Gaspard, and Joseph.
Henri Gaspard de LATIL, Captain, Lord of Chasteuil and Bourguet. Son of Antoine and Françoise d'HENRIC. He was Captain of 100 men at arms, by committee of November 29th, 1746. He got married in 1775 to Suzanne d'AUDIBERT of Ramatuelle.
François de LATIL, Captain, Lord of Chasteuil and Bourguet. Son of Antoine and Françoise d'HENRIC. He was Captain in the Royal Grenadiers.
Elisabeth Francoise de LATIL, Daughter of Antoine and Francoise d'HENRIC. She was baptized on July 31, 1721, Castellane.
Gaspard de LATIL, Son of Antoine and Francoise d'HENRIC. He was baptized on December 10, 1721, Castellane.
Joseph Antoine de LATIL, Son of Antoine and Francoise d'HENRIC. He was baptized on March 27, 1729, Castellane.
Honore de LATIL, Son of Gaspard and Elisabeth de PERIER. He was baptized on August 9, 1696, Castellane.
Antoine de LATIL, Captain. He was Captain in the regiment of Provence, lieutenant of King and commander for King of islands Saint-Marguerite and Lérins, from 1759 to at least 1761. He was a knight of Saint Louis. He got married in 1748, to Gabrielle Thérèse de MAGNY. They had a son, Jean.
Jean Baptiste Marie Antoine de LATIL, count, then duke de LATIL. Son of Antoine and Gabrielle de MAGNY. He was born in islands Saint-Marguerite on March 6, 1761. Bishop of Amiclée (in April 7th, 1816), then of Chartres ( 1817 ) Archbishop of Rheims ( 1824 ). He crowned Charles X on May 29th, 1825. Cardinal (in March 10th, 1826), Peer of France (in October 31st, 1822). Knight commander of the Holy Spirit (in May 12th, 1825). He died in Gémenos (Bouches-du-Rhône) December 1, 1839. He is in a vault of the cathedral of Rheims.
