The Latil et Latyl family is known in Marseilles where it occupied important responsibilities during the 18th Century.

 

Honoré Latil.weapons of Honore Latil, Marseilles.

In 1696, he was a middle-class person of the city of Marseilles. He paid 20 pounds of right of finance for the recording of his coats of arms to general Armorial, in correspondence of the edict of November 20th, 1696, in Me Adrien Vannier.

 

His weapons are: " sable, in a cross argent; coupé argent in a cheerful horse of azure. "

 


Alphonse Latil.weapons of Alphonse Latil, in Marseilles

He paid 20 pounds of right of finance for the recording of his coats of arms to general Armorial, in correspondence of the edict of November 20th, 1696, in Me Adrien Vannier.

 

His weapons are: " azure, in a dove pressing argent, becquée and limbed gules, carrying in his beak a or twig, surmounted by three stars also, chief rows, and steady of a croissant argent. "

 


Honoré Latil.Honore LATIL, Marseilles.

He was to advise (1733-1734) then delegated by the Chamber of Commerce of Marseilles ( 1743-1744 ); he was also first alderman of his town from 1731 till 1732 and from 1749 till 1750.

 

Weapons : "azure, a bend or, accompanied by a dove argent holding in its nozzle a branch or and in base a crescent argent with the chief argent charged with three mullet gules."

 

Ignace Latyl.weapons of Ignace Latyl, in Marseilles.

In 1696, he was a lawyer in the yard. He paid 20 pounds of right of finance for the recording of his coats of arms to general Armorial, in correspondence of the edict of November 20th, 1696, in Me Adrien Vannier.

 

His weapons are: " azure in a bar lowered argent, on which is put a parrot by-passed or, carrying in its beak a palm also, accompanied chief of two orderly stars also or. "

 


Scipion Antoine Latyl.weapons of Scipion Latyl, in Marseilles.

In 1696, he was bourgeois of the city in Marseilles. He paid 20 pounds of right of finance for the recording of his coats of arms to general Armorial, in correspondence of the edict of November 20th, 1696, in Me Adrien Vannier.

 

His weapons are: " azure, in a dove argent, becquée and limbed of mouths, carrying in his beak a or twig, put on a trangle lowered or and accompanied with two stars also, in chief, the other one sharp. "

 


Jean-Baptiste Latyl.weapons of Jean-Baptiste Latyl, in Marseilles.

He was first alderman in Marseilles from 1752 till 1753, and representative of the business from 1756 till 1761.

 

Weapons : "azure, a bar or surmounted by a dove argent holding in its nozzle an of the same branch, accompanied by 2 mullet or, one as a chief, and one in base"."
