He was born November 10, 1726, in France.* He was Major in the French Militia, New Orleans, LA. He went in to partnership with Maurice CONWAY, an Irishman, and they purchased a land from the Houmas Indians, near present day Burnside, LA, 1774. He built the first (rear) part of the present Houmas House. He married Marie Renee de LACHAISE April 16, 1757, New Orleans, LA. His wife Marie died February 1760. He married Marie Jeanne GOUJON de GRONDEL November 16, 1760, New Orleans, LA. Children are: Louise Henrietta, Lazare Baltasar, Timecourt Lazare, Catherine, Marie Eleonore, Claire Eugenia, and Marguerite Pauline. He died February 4, 1791, New Orleans. His wife Jeanne dead October 10, 1817, New Orleans, LA. *Louise Henrietta* *Felicite* *LATIL.* Daughter of Alexandre and Marie Jeanne GOUGON. She was born December 31, 1762, New-Orleans, LA. She married Alexandre Devince BIENVENU March 18, 1783, New Orleans, LA. Children are: Alexandre De Vince, Marie Jeanne, Rafael Thomas, Marie, Charles Thimoleon, Francois Theodule, Joseph Terence, Charlotte Alix, Louise, Aminthe Felicite, Charles Tegeur, and Celestine. She died June 23, 1833, St. Martin Parish, LA. *Lazare Baltasar LATIL. Son* of Alexandre and Marie Jeanne GOUGON. He was born December 30, 1764, New-Orleans,LA. He lived with Jeanne Sophie ESTEVE, daughter of Guillaume ESTEVE and Ana MANDEVILLE. In 1805, they lived at 2 Rue d'Orleans, New Orleans, LA. He married Jeanne Sofie ESTEVE March 17, 1829, New Orleans, LA. Children are: Marie Francoise, Charles Esteve, Sophie, Carlos, Joseph Timecourt, Louis Azael and Luisa Virginie. His wife Jeanne died October 13, 1830. He died December 15, 1845, Baton Rouge, LA. *Timecourt Lazare LATIL.* Son of Alexandre and Marie Jeanne GOUJON. He was born December 30, 1764, New-Orleans, LA. In 1822, he lived at 137 Burgundy, New Orleans, LA. He died January 6, 1846, New Orleans, LA. Catherine LATIL. Daughter of Alexandre and Marie GOUGON. She was born 1765, New Orleans, LA. She married Pedro GERNARDO. She died on November 29, 1810. *Marie Eleonore LATIL.* Daughter of Alexandre and Marie GOUGON. She was born February 24, 1767, New-Orleans, LA. She married Don Francisco de LEIVA y CORDOBA, office in the Disciplined Militia of the Spanish Army in Louisiana, March 19, 1794. Children are: Maria Carmen, and Michael. She died 1795, New Orleans, LA. *Claire Eugenia LATIL. Daughter of Alexandre and Marie GOUGON.* She was born February 17, 1773, New Orleans, LA. She married Miguel Gonzales de RUEDA, August 26, 1794, New Orleans, LA. She died 1798. Marguerite *Pauline LATIL.* Daughter of Alexandre and Marie GOUGON. She was born 1777. She married Joseph Antoine Bernard d'AUTERIVE July 2, 1793, St. Martin Parish, LA. Children are: Ysabel Eugenie, Antonio Luis, Marie Rose, Antonio Bernard, Felicite Eleonore and Joseph Valliere. Her husband Bernard died February 1812. She married Antonio LEONARD October 4, 1813, Baton Rouge, LA. She died January 7, 1857, St. Martinsville Parish, LA. *Marie Francoise Henritta LATIL.* Daughter of Lazare and Jeanne ESTEVE. She was born April 15, 1783, New Orleans, LA She married Paul Falcoune de COLONGNE. Children are: Francois, Charles, Michel Armand, Octave, Marie Elina and Apolphe. She died July 13, 1835. *Charles Esteve LATIL. Son of Lazare and Jeanne ESTEVE.* He was born August 29, 1785, New Orleans, LA. He died November 6, 1832, New Orleans, LA. *Sophie LATIL.* Daughter of Lazare and Jeanne ESTEVE. She was born January 5, 1789, New Orleans, LA She married Alexis DESPRE. She died July 4, 1852, New Orleans. *Carlos LATIL.* Son of Lazare and Jeanne ESTEVE. He was born August 27, 1793, New Orleans, LA. He died July 4, 1852, New Orleans, LA. *Joseph Timecourt LATIL. Son of Lazare and Jeanne ESTEVE.* He was born May 7, 1796, New Orleans, LA. He married Maria de la Merced CLERMONT July 21, 1816, New Orleans, LA. Children are: Alexandre, Marie Cora, Marie Josephine, Paul Porus, Joseph Edouard, Ana Celina, Marie Marcellita, Frederick Timecour and Octavia Marie. He died February 13, 1857, New Orleans, LA. His wife Marie died May 16, 1879, New Orleans, LA. *Louis Azael LATIL.* Son of Lazare and Jeanne ESTEVE. He was born November 8, 1798, New Orleans, LA. He married Maria Carmelite RUIZ March 20, 1824, New Orleans, LA. He was a gunsmith in 1850. Children are: Louisa Henrietta, Alexandre Laurent, Laurent Hector, Sophie, Achille Azael, Agnes Alzire, Ignace Arthur, Carmelite, Arthur J., Marie Ann, Marie Cecile, Louis Aza and Edgar Luke. He died July 30, 1877, Baton Rouge, LA. *Luisa Virginia LATIL.* Daughter of Lazare and Jeanne ESTEVE. She was born August 25, 1800, New Orleans, LA. *Alexandre LATIL. Son of Joseph and Marie CLERMONT.* He was born October 6, 1814, New Orleans, LA. He wrote 1841 "Les Ephemeres, Essais poetiques". He married Marie Louise Elmina MOREAUX. He died March 16, 1851, New Orleans, LA. Marie Cora LATIL. Daughter of Joseph and Marie CLERMONT. She was born in New-Orleans. She died on September 3, 1817 in New-Orleans. Marie Josephine LATIL. He was born March 18, 1826. He married Al. Child is: William Alexandre. Laurent Hector LATIL. Son of Louis and Carmelite RUIZ. He was born March 18, 1827, Baton Rouge, LA. He was a gunsmith in 1850. He married Mary Elizabeth BLANCHARD July 4, 1848, Baton Rouge, LA. Children are: Mary Elizabeth, Ann Eliza, Carmelite Elina, William Hector, Cecilia Elmira, Louisia Amelia, Emma, Florence, Callie Edna. During the American Civil War, was rooled in the Compagny B of the 4th Regiment of Infantry of Louisiana, May 25, 1861, in Camp Moore. His wife Mary died August 15, 1908, in Baton Rouge, LA. He died February 26, 1915, Baton Rouge, LA. *Sophie* LATIL. Daughter of Louis and Carmelite RUIZ. She was born December, 1828 in Baton Rouge. She died August 30, 1829. *Achille Azael LATIL. Son of Louis and Carmelite RUIZ.* He was born January 16, 1831, Baton-Rouge, LA. He married Elizabeth Korwin JAHOLKOWSKI August 19, 1861, Baton Rouge, LA. Child is: Julius Achille Joseph. In 1863, at the time of the American Civil War, he was rooled in the 9th Battn La. Inf. Company A, then made prisoner, in the battle of Port Hudson (July 9, 1863) and paroled. He married Lucinda A. DIXON February 13, 1866, Baton Rouge, LA. Children are: Ann Elizabeth, and Mary Rosa. He died October 5, 1883, Baton Rouge, LA. Agnes Alzire LATIL. Daughter of Louis and Carmelite RUIZ. She was born Abt. 1833. She married Louis Emile VOLAIRE January 3,1859, Baton Rouge, LA. Children are: Emma and Amelia. She died December 2, 1896. *Ignace Arthur LATIL. Son of Louis and Carmelite RUIZ.* He was born February 1, 1834, Baton-Rouge, LA. He died January 20, 1882. Carmelite LATIL. Daughter of Louis and Carmelite RUIZ. She was born March 12, 1837, Baton Rouge, LA. She married Thomas GILD. Child is: Emile. She married Frank BANES. She married John F. BOND December 8, 1867, Baton Rouge, LA. She died 1909, Baton Rouge, LA. *Arthur J. LATIL. Son of Louis and Carmelite RUIZ.* He was born December 16, 1837. He died January 20, 1882, Baton Rouge, LA. *Marie Ann Azema LATIL. Daughter of* Louis and Carmelite RUIZ. She was born June 13, 1840, Baton Rouge, LA. She married Andrew KELLUM. Children are: Viola and Octavia. She died March 11, 1875. *Marie Cecile Elmina LATIL. In 1863, at the time of the American Civil War, he was rooled in the 9th battalion of Infantry of Louisiana, company A, then made prisoner, with the battle of Port Hudson (July 9, 1863). He married Shirley. He married Mary SULLIVAN. He married Clara H. HALL June 29, 1896, Baton Rouge, LA. Children are: Beatrice Lee, Sue, Gladys, Theodore A. and Sterling A. He died on July 3, 1928, Baton Rouge, LA. Edgar Luke LATIL. Son of Louis and Carmelite RUIZ. He was born October 18, 1846, Baton Rouge, LA. He married Mary E. KELLUM May 16, 1877, Baton Rouge, LA. Children are : John Brogan A., Bertha Maudeste, Edgar F., Arthur Leroy, Lullie Maria, Lilian Irene, Claude Joseph, Ida May and Viola Harriet. He died November 13, 1897, Baton Rouge, LA.
